Each certificate is a permanent public link anyone can open without logging in — perfect for listings, WhatsApp and buyers abroad.

What "Authorized Dealer" means on a certificate

When a report is issued under a dealer account, the certificate carries the dealership's name and an "Authorized Dealer" mark. It is worth being precise about what that does and does not mean.

What it means

The dealer uses CarTrust to give buyers the independent source record for the car — auction history, mileage, grade, identity flags and recalls, retrieved at source. A dealer putting their name on a CarTrust certificate is choosing transparency: showing the buyer the real record, issued by an independent third party rather than by the seller.

What it does not mean

It does not mean the dealer supplies, selects, edits or influences the records — and it does not mean CarTrust adjusts them for the dealer. The records are retrieved and certified by CarTrust, not by the dealer; a dealer cannot change what the record shows, and CarTrust does not alter or curate the record for a dealer. The "Authorized Dealer" mark is about who stands behind the check with their name — not about who controls the data.

In short: an authorized dealer is a dealer confident enough in a car's real history to hand the buyer the independent record. The certificate is the same independently verified document whether a private buyer or a dealer orders it.
